HK Actor Shawn Yue Owns CryptoPunk, Bored Ape Yacht Club NFTs

Also, rumours say Alibaba co-founder Joe Tsai owns a CryptoPunk, but there’s no strong evidence for that. Two Alibaba co-founders, Tsai and Jack Ma, back NFT gaming giant Animoca Brands via their family office Blue Pool Capital. Additionally, Animoca Brands has a large NFT investment portfolio, including popular NFT game Axie Infinity.

Wealthy Chinese investors are snapping up NFTs. Moreover, Hong Kong actor Shawn Yue has updated his Instagram profile picture with a CryptoPunk NFT #2886. According to OpenSea, the last selling price was at 120 ETH in mid-July ($253,200 at the time).

Meanwhile, NFT project Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) is riding on the NFT mania. Lately, NBA star player Stephen Curry updates his Twitter profile picture with a BAYC NFT. The three-time NBA champion picks up the NFT for 55 ETH ($180,000).

Bored Ape Yacht Club NFTs are surging in popularity in the Asia market. Celebrities who have BAYC NFTs reportedly include: Taiwanese singer Stanley Huang, actor Venness Wu, Kai Ko, among other major influencers in the region.
